BINTI is an online applicant portal that allows perspective applicants to easily complete corresponding application and licensing forms online from a computer, tablet or mobile phone. Interested applicants can access BINTI here. Who can be a resource parent? Becoming a foster/adoptive parent requires flexibility, a sense of humor, a willingness to grow and learn, but most of all a commitment to provide a safe, nurturing, and loving home for a child. The application and licensing process is the same for foster and adoptive families. In general, foster parents must: ● Be 21 years old or older ● Pass background checks ● Be in good enough health to care for a child ● Be able to make ends meet financially You may own or rent your home. That home must pass a fire and safety inspection. If you would like to foster a child under the age of 6, your home must also pass a lead inspection If your home was built prior to 1978.
